Instructions

Familiarize your self with these instructions before flying.
On the keyboard, press Win and Enter to restart.
You will be asked for a language selection and then which scenario you wanna try:

  • The easy scenario will put you on the runway, ready to go.
  • The advanced schenario (not implemented yet) will put you on an intercept course for an approach.
  • The expert schenario will put you in a cold and dark aircraft and you have to start it up your self.

After the selection, you will be prompted to set up the hardware matching to your selected scenario, once that's done, the flight simulator will start.

Easy Scenario

  1. Pull the thrust levers back to reset them as well.
  2. Wait till the simulator has fully loaded.
  3. Push the thrust levers fully forward to accelerate.

Gently use the rudder pedals to keep the aircraft on the runway till you've reached 140 knots.

Primary Flight Display, highlighting the speed of 140 knots on the speed scale

Gently pull the stick back to take off. Initially aim for about 15 degrees nose up Primary Flight Display, highlighting the 15 degrees pitch up attitude

Press the "gear up" button on the Joystick to raise the landing gear.

Let the aircraft accelerate to 180 knots

Press the "flaps up" button on the Joystick to retract the flaps.

Set the thrust levers in the climb position Side view of the thrust lever. The 'Climb' detent is marked red.

Well done, you're flying! You can now either try to follow the pre-programmed route or fly somewhere else, it's up to you, have fun!

Advanced Scenario

Note: This has not been fully implemented yet and thus is not yet an option in the menu!

You'll start on an intercept course for an ILS approach.

The auto pilot is engaged and set up to fly the approach for you.

When you feel ready, press the red button on the side stick to disconnect the auto pilot.

You are in control now, good luck with the landing!

Expert Scenario

In this scenario, you have an aircraft in the so called "cold and dark" state and you have to start up the aircraft your self. This requires a good bit of knowledge about the aircraft and it's systems. If you want to learn how to do this, I recommend you to watch this video (link goes to Piped) for a first quick overview.
